But, also that 2018 could be a major game changer for this sector of activity. Apparently, NY, MI, and MA are getting closer to joining NJ online. Some believe that bills are currently drafted. But, other states could soon legalize online gaming too. Here are our thoughts.
West Virginia
We all know that the offline industry in West Virginia is facing major competition. Especially since its close neighboring state PA recently legalized online gaming. Many believe online casinos in PA will shortly open there doors for customers. Apparently, West Virginia is looking for ways to increase its casino’s profitability. Could online gaming be the solution?
Illinois
The casino industry is doing well in Illinois! For sure, it has something to do with the fact that this state has over 13 million residents. It is true that Illinois once had a failed attempt at legalizing gaming in 2013. In our opinion, they’re likely to join the race again as the demands from the public increases. Especially, after considering how much revenues the industry could produce. Some believe that online gambling could bring as much as $200 million every year. Of which the state’s cut would be at around 15-20% excluding the license fees.
Florida
Even if Florida is currently focusing on Poker. Rumour has that it could soon legalize online gaming. There’s no doubt that Gaming would be profitable in the sunny state. Not only because this state has 20 million residents but also because many are avid fans of race tracks. So who knows what could happen?
